This Satan Statue Could End up at Oklahoma State House

The Oklahoma state house  could soon be getting a new monument.

A New York based group called the Satanic Temple unveiled designs Monday for a seven-foot goat-headed statue of Satan with children at its feet.

The state legislature okayed a privately-funded Ten Commandments monument  erected in 2012 and that opens the door for this Satan statue, says the organization.

Opponents say the group is just trying to get their goat.

The devil's advocates say the statue would also double as a place for visitors to sit – on the cozy lap of Lucifer.

See Goat Try to Get Into Home

If you could charge a goat with attempted burglary, this "Billy" would be in jail right now.

It got loose in an Oklahoma City neighborhood and tried to head-butt one man's front door.

The goat then went after the cops  and tried to use those horns to break into their cruisers.

Though everyone's OK  and the goat is back with its owner.

Can Someone Explain These Crop Circles?

This isn't a scene from the movie "Signs."

This is actual footage of giant "crop circles" that appeared on a farm near the central California coast.

So, naturally this has people wondering - is this the work of aliens... Or some very talented pranksters?

Two friends driving on a nearby road sunday night witnessed strange bursts of green light flashing on the horizon.

They videotaped it and posted it on YouTube where it went viral, bringing a number of curious onlookers to the scene on Monday to see it for themselves.

15-year-old wins big prize for pancreatic cancer detection test

Students from across the country competed in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair last week in Pittsburgh, and out of the 1,500 kids who competed from more than 70 countries, 15 year old Jack Andraka was named the top winner, landing the $75,000 grand prize.

Andraka, a high school freshman, created a non-invasive and cheap way to detect pancreatic cancer, the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.

The test uses a dip-stick sensor, based on diabetic test paper, to test blood or urine for signs of early stage pancreatic cancer.

Boasting a 90% accuracy rate, the patent-pending sensor is 168 times faster, 26,000 times less expensive and over 400 times more sensitive than previous tests. Andraka believes the sensor can also be extended to detect ovarian and lung cancers.

Andraka talks to Alina Cho on Early Start today about his big win and what’s next for him.

SpaceX shuttle set to make space history

Earlier this week, the rocket carrying SpaceX's dragon capsule launched into space and headed toward the International Space Station carrying supplies like food, computer equipment and tools for experiments that are to be handed off  to astronauts.

If the unmanned shuttle successfully links up with the space station this morning, it will be the first time a private spacecraft has accomplished such a feat.

Astronaut Dan Tani calls into Early Start this morning to explain the mission and to discuss the significance of the historic day.
