In just a few hours federal agents will be digging again in a field in Oakland Township, Michigan in search of the remains of Jimmy Hoffa. And they're going on the word of an aging mobster who claims the former teamsters boss was buried there shortly after he vanished in 1975.
Hoffa's disappearance nearly forty years ago has been one of the most enduring mysteries of our time.
CNN'S Mary Snow takes a closer look at our fascination with that.
“Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance has confounded authorities for nearly four decades,” Snow reports. “And despite his death the speculation remains alive, about what happened to him.”
