Newborn Flushed Away: Rescued from sewage pipe

CNN's Hala Gorani reports officials in east china are now investigating the case of a newborn baby who was apparently flushed down the toilet. The infant survived  after being cut out of a sewage pipe. The baby was taken to the hospital still inside the pipe. He was later removed from the pipe at the hospital. The parent's have not come forward.

American wife & mother accused of smuggling pot, arrested in Mexico – John Berman reports

Yanira Maldonado, an American woman accused of smuggling pot in Mexico, may find out today if she will go free or remain in jail until her trial. John Berman has the story.

"Arizona Senator Jeff Flake says he is personally involved," Berman reports. "He is working the case. He's had several conversations with...the Mexican Ambassador to the United States. They're trying to bring Maldonado home."

2,224 passengers stranded in Bahamas after Royal Caribbean Cruise ship catches fire

Another near disaster at sea for a cruise ship packed with passengers. Right now Royal Caribbean’s "Grandeur Of The Sea" is docked in the Bahamas. More than 2,200 frustrated vacationers waiting to be flown back to Baltimore this morning one day after their ship caught fire. CNN’s Erin McPike has the latest from Baltimore-Washington International Airport this morning.

Funerals begin in Oklahoma tornado zone as residents remember and rebuild – CNN's Pamela Brown reports

The first of 24 funerals for Oklahoma storm victims - honoring the brief life of nine-year-old Antonia Candelaria, who died at Plaza Towers Elementary school.

Others during this time of sadness are looking for signs of hope. Signs that a wounded and dazed community is beginning to pick up the pieces and look to the future.
