World markets got a boost Monday after Cyprus and EU negotiators reached a deal on a €10 billion bailout for the tiny island nation.

The new bailout program includes deep restructuring of the country's banking sector; one major bank will broken up immediately.

U.S. stock futures were higher ahead of the opening bell. With no major corporate earnings or economic reports on tap Monday, news on Cyprus could dominate.

Will Knox be re-tried for murder? CNN's Ben Wedeman on hearing to rule on her case

FROM CNN WIRES:

(CNN) - Her story made headlines all over the world: An American college student studying abroad in Italy - charged with killing another student.

Amanda Knox spent four years in jail before her murder conviction was overturned. Her family hopes Monday will be the last chapter in her long saga.

Prosecutors want to retry her, and Italy's Supreme Court will rule whether they can. If the court says that Knox's acquittal can't be overturned, the case is over. Knox's family said last year the appeal was unwelcome, but no cause for concern.

CNN's Ben Wedeman reports on the hearing live from Rome on "Early Start" today.

MYB: China is No. 2 for box office haul worldwide, Americans with debt now have more of it

Christine Romans is minding your business with the good, the bad and the ugly in U.S. stock futures and world markets. Stocks continue to hang on word from Cyprus. "Lawmakers there have to come up with a plan to raise money by Monday or else the European Central Bank will stop providing Cyprus with emergency cash," Romans reports.

And a mixed bag for who has debt in America. “Fewer Americans have debt,” Christine Romans says. Sixty-nine percent of people are in debt, compared to 74% in 2000. A major reason for this is that “people are laying off their credit cards. But for those who do have debt, they have a lot more of it—$70,000 compared with $52,000 in 2000. People over 65 saw their debt level double, because seniors are less likely to own their house outright and more likely to have unsecured debt, like student loans and medical bills.

Meanwhile, China is now the world’s second movie theater box office, second to the United States, Romans says. “The Motion Picture Association says ten movie screens are being built in China every day.”

FAA to announce cuts to nearly 200 air traffic towers today – Rene Marsh reports

It’s a big day today for the FAA. The agency will announce which air traffic control towers will be shut down. Dozens across the country will be locked up and left because of the forced budget cuts.

CNN’S Rene Marsh is at one of the airports that will be impacted in Frederick, Maryland with more details. “Frederick is one of 238 towers at small and medium airports the FAA may close because of forced spending cuts,” Marsh reports. Marsh speaks to Mamie Ambrose, a Navy Veteran who has been clearing pilots for take off and landing for the past 11 years. “While airports will remain open, she says closing towers affects safety.”

Manhunt underway for suspect who fatally shot 13-month-old in stroller in Georgia – Nick Vallencia reports

FROM CNN WIRES:

Police responding to a 911 call in southeastern Georgia found a baby boy shot dead and a mother with a leg wound Thursday morning.

The incident in Brunswick prompted a search for two young male suspects, one between 13 and 15 years old, and the other possibly as young as 10.

While the mother said she was the victim of an attempted robbery, police said they had not identified a motive so far. They did not provide any other details of the alleged crime, other than to say that after the "senseless act," both suspects fled on foot.

The mother, who was treated and released from a hospital, told CNN affiliate WAWS that she was walking her 13-month-old in his stroller Thursday morning when the two youths approached her and demanded money.

CNN's Nick Vallencia reports on the search for the two youths accused in the shooting.
