I think Dorner had adjustment disorder that so many of us Veterans have suffered through coming back from deployment. Especially for those of us reservists who are in law enforcement. It's hard to transition back into normal life much less into the life of a peace officer. That could have been the driving force that made him go the direction he went. Back then coming off of deployment there wasn't the screening they have now for Veterans. I knew something was wrong so I was able to get help. Sadly Dorner never came back from that dark place and did unimaginable things that I cannot fathom being in the military and in law enforcement.. I will never understand how or why he could do the things he did.
