Joan of Snark: Comedian Joan Rivers talks about her book, says Obama and Romney are 'both idiots'

She's the legendary comedian, actress, jewelry mogul, and "Fashion Police" spotter. Of course, we could only be talking about Joan Rivers!

She's packed in all her jokes and put-downs into a blunt, uninhibited, totally uncensored book "I Hate Everyone...Starting With Me." Zoraida Sambolin recently sat down with her to to hear her really dish it out and also tell how she learned to take it.

Rivers talks about almost every topic under the sun, and gives her take on:

The Presidential race and candidates President Obama and Mitt Romney
"Both idiots...how dare you spend 2 years campaigning. This country is in trouble. They should do what England does – six weeks to find out what everyone thinks before they vote for them for Parliament...I find the whole thing disgusting."

On fashion and doing the red carpet
"The red carpet, when Melissa and I started doing it, you could say things...now everything is so closed. If you say something about Meryl Streep, her PR person won't let you have Tom Cruise...E! said please go back and do the carpet. Melissa and I said no, we'd much rather go back and do the next day and tell the truth."

On criticism she goes too far with her jokes
"I go sometimes too far on stage, but I'm at the age now where I really think my audience is my friends. I know it sounds stupid. I come on stage, and there are, like, 4,000 friends there...I think you must laugh at everything. Life is so terribly sad."

What she hates about herself
"Where do we start? My god, the breasts and you notice where I'm looking. The breasts, the thighs, the accent. Listen to myself on tape - you know, - everything."

On plastic surgery
"I did a little tweaks all my life. And that's the way people should do plastic surgery. You should do it that people don't really notice. They just say, doesn't she look good. I love when they say, she's rested. Yes, she fell asleep on the operating table."

On her opinion on less-than-beautiful people
"I hate ugly people. If you are ugly and you know who you are, I could start right now pointing out. Just get up and get out, because trust me, at the end of the evening, you're going to be just as ugly at least be home."

Teacher who tells students they're 'not special' says parents need to let kids determine their own course and achieve on their own

"You're not special."

That's what some recent graduates were told by their commencement speaker, Wellesley High School teacher David McCullough, Jr., and the Massachusetts high school graduation speech has gone viral online.

"You're not special. You're not exceptional," McCullough says. "Contrary to what your U-9 soccer trophy suggests, your glowing seventh grade report card despite every assurance that a certain corpulent purple dinosaur that nice Mr. Rogers and your batty Aunt Sylvia, no matter how often your maternal cape crusader is swooped into save you, you are nothing special."

McCullough talks to Zoraida this morning on "Early Start" to react to the attention his speech received and to clarify what he meant in the speech.

Candidates hit the money trail across East Coast – Paul Steinhauser on the race to raise funds

President Obama and Mitt Romney are hitting the trail this morning...the money trail.

Today, it's all about infusing the campaigns with fresh cash. The president is scheduled to attend six different fund-raisers in Baltimore and Philadelphia, while Romney is expected to travel to private fund-raisers in Orlando, Florida and Franklin, Tenn.

This comes after May fundraising tallies show that Romney raised $76.8 million in May, while President Obama only raised $60 million.

CNN political editor Paul Steinhauser explains how much money the candidates expect to raise today.

MYB: Family net worth drops nearly 40%

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - The average American family's net worth dropped almost 40% between 2007 and 2010, according to a triennial study released Monday by the Federal Reserve.

The stunning drop in median net worth - from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010 - indicates that the recession wiped away 18 years of savings and investment by families.

The Fed study, called the Survey of Consumer Finances, offers details on savings, income, debt, as well as assets and investments owned by American families.

The results, though more than a year old, highlight the marked deterioration in household finances brought on by the financial crisis and ensuing recession.

This morning on "Early Start," Alison Kosik explains that the sharp decline was closely tied to home values.

Victim #1 expected to testify in Sandusky trial today – Susan Candiotti explains how his story first triggered the investigation into child rape allegations

Editor's note: This story contains graphic descriptions of alleged sexual abuse.

(From CNN Wires – Bellefonte, Pennsylvania (CNN)) - The alleged victim whose allegations triggered the criminal investigation into Jerry Sandusky is expected to take the stand Tuesday in the former Penn State assistant football coach's child rape trial, kicking off the second day of testimony in the high-profile case.

Michael Boni, a lawyer for the person identified in court documents as Victim 1, told CNN on Monday night his client is "ready to go."

The grand jury report cited evidence that Sandusky, who met the boy when he was 11 or 12 years old, "indecently fondled Victim 1 on a number of occasions, performed oral sex on Victim 1 on a number of occasions and had Victim 1 perform oral sex on him on at least one occasion."

The teenager, who transferred schools amid the fallout from the Sandusky investigation, graduated from his new high school this past weekend, according to Boni. He is contemplating scholarship offers from colleges, the lawyer adds.

This morning on "Early Start," Susan Candiott explains victim #1's story and what we can expect from his testimony today.
