Candidates hit the money trail across East Coast – Paul Steinhauser on the race to raise funds

President Obama and Mitt Romney are hitting the trail this morning...the money trail.

Today, it's all about infusing the campaigns with fresh cash. The president is scheduled to attend six different fund-raisers in Baltimore and Philadelphia, while Romney is expected to travel to private fund-raisers in Orlando, Florida and Franklin, Tenn.

This comes after May fundraising tallies show that Romney raised $76.8 million in May, while President Obama only raised $60 million.

CNN political editor Paul Steinhauser explains how much money the candidates expect to raise today.
