This morning, people are calling firefighter Rosa Tullis a hero.
One-year-old Donniel Brown fell to the bottom of a 20 ft. storm drain and was trapped. With the opening to the drain only about a foot wide, firefighters only had one option – send in Rosa Tullis. At 4'11", she was the only one who could fit through the opening.
Wearing only a t-shirt and a pair of pants, she was lowered into the drain and rescued the terrified child. The firefighter's heroics left Donniel's grandmother speechless.
Hero firefighter Rosa Tullis talks to Christine this morning on "Early Start" and says despite her claustrophobia, she was trained to handle situations like this. Donniel's mother Tpring Brown also talks to Christine with an update on the toddler's health.
