Rep. Bob Brady (D-Penn) on taking the Food Stamp Challenge, living on $35 a week for food

Could you feed yourself with just $5 a day? Philadelphia community members and elected officials will find out this week as part of the greater Philadelphia Food Stamp Challenge.

Food stamps provided by "SNAP" – short for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – could be scaled back both in Pennsylvania and on the federal level, and the food stamp challenge is meant to send a message to Republican lawmakers not to make cuts to the program.

Representative Bob Brady, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, is taking part in the $5-dollar-a-day food stamp program – he's currently on day two, and he talks with Ashleigh Banfield this morning on "Early Start" about why he's taking the challenge.

In the video below, he explains that an asset test for food stamp recipients would hurt the poor in the U.S.

'Shark boy' in viral video explains his love for sharks

He may only be nine years old, but the self-proclaimed 'shark boy' Hunter Stevens has already reeled in a 7-foot shark.

A video of Hunter with his dad Kevin on Sunday catching a Blacktip shark off the coast of Galveston, TX has gone viral. The young shark fan tells Zoraida Sambolin that he finds sharks fascinating.

"I like sharks because I know that they're nice, and they're very, very beautiful," Hunter says. "They are amazing creatures to watch. They're almost like dinosaurs when they eat and mate are very cool because you can learn more information about them every day."

His dad says he and his son are pretty used to shark fishing, but cautions others against jumping in the ocean to try to reel in their own great white.

"You don't go out and buy a kayak and go off the beachfront and fish for sharks, I'll tell you that," Kevin says.

Zoraida asks him about an even bigger shark that he helped catch with his dad – a 7 footer – and says he was nervous but excited.

"I was nervous, scared and happy, combined in," Hunter says.

PREVIEW: Alina Cho's exclusive interview with actors Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones on the Broadway show "The Best Man"

Imagine this: It's time for a U.S. presidential election. One candidate is a man with ethics, and the other candidate is a man who could best be described as unscrupulous. Is this 2012? Nope, it's 1960.

The Broadway show "The Best Man" was written by Gore Vidal and made it's original run in March 1960. More than five decades later and it seems the essentials in politics may not have changed that much.

In the latest Broadway run, the show features the legendary actors Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. In an exclusive joint interview, CNN's Alina Cho talks with the actors about the show revival and their legacy.

See a preview of this exclusive interview above, and tune in for the full interview on "Early Start with Ashleigh Banfield and Zoraida Sambolin" Tuesday, April 24th at 5am Eastern.
