I think you are right. No one is discussing that fact that this kid was scared or a little nervous about being followed, which means his defenses were JUSTIFIABLY up as well, and he perhaps resorted to physically defending himself as opposed to having a gun on his person. The probably for a lot of people is that if Zimmerman was wrong, and I believe he was and is, the "Stand Your Ground" law is wrong as well, not to mention it is a very dangerous piece of legislature as well. Trayvon is not the only victim down in FL of this law.
There is only ONE issue in the Trayvon Martin case – Zimmerman got out of his vehicle and chased the kid. If Trayvon ran or fought back, is that what we all tell our kids to do if approached by a stranger? The news media and the groups need to focus on this one issue, not all this extraneous stuff.
