What a wonderful young man Courtney Ward, Jr. is. Morehouse should be proud to have such an outstanding and articulate "Man of Morehouse" as one of its products. Kudos also to whomever his parents are, as they have obviously done an outstanding job. The injustice of Trayvon Martin is a travesty of everything Blacks in America have strived to accomplish, and the obviously bigoted supporters of his murderer should be ashamed as they label Trayvon as a "suspect" when he lies dead.
A self-defense claim to manslaughter or murder should not be allowed to the individual claiming self-defense by use of lethal force where the individual alleging the defense derives his authority to use of that lethal force by providing his advesary with the instrumentality upon which he basis his fear.
Also It is my opinion that a self defense claim will not lie where an individual does not reasonably & imminently fear severe bodily harm or death... severe bodily harm including but not limited to gross injury such as broken bones but not less... thus where two parties are engaged in mutual combat consisting of punching kicking etc the individual claiming defense does not derive a right to pull out a gun and shoot the other at point blank
