Ashleigh - A good segment this morning with the lawyer on a possible Afghan court martial for the accused soldier. Another interesting take on this story you might consider looking into and reporting on is what is going to happen to this soldier's family. Will they even be allowed to attend the trial or even see the husband and father? What will happen to their military family status and benefits? Soldiers convicted of serious crimes in court martials are given dishonorable discharges, abruptly ending all benefits to the family. They will be abandoned by the military. Forget health benefits, spousal or child support, it's hard to provide that from death row. For now, the military did the right thing by moving the family onto the base to protect them from retaliation, but what is going to be their future, given this terrible act this soldier has been accused of?

Though if you look at the statscan page I lneikd above, all cities across Canada had the dwelling counts increase at a faster rate than the population. I don't quite understand it.I do.Real house prices are well above historical norms. This results in a higher than normal supply (upward sloping). People are buying this housing not for yield (shelter), but for expected capital gains. Indeed yield is declining, which is exactly what one would expect when housing stock grows faster than households. And what happens when the expectation of capital gains is lost?
