Thank you very much for posting this story online. I missed it this morning, but my wife caught it and was talking to me about it this evening because she wanted to let her veteran classmates know about the site. It saddens me to see that no one has commented on the story. I'm a veteran of the US Army. I was lucky to have been trained as an electronics technician and gained significant knowledge of computers and networking which made it easy to transition directly to comparable corporate jobs. However, with regards to military personnel that don't get similar training or experience, get left behind because companies simply don't get it. They fail to understand the the amount of training involved in every facet of the military and how much of the military operates like civilian businesses and corporations. Unfortunately, most hiring managers that have no military experience or military connections view military personnel and veterans as uneducated, lower class citizens that either couldn't afford to go to or couldn't make it in college. I'm happy to see someone of importance trying to change this for vets. My sincere gratitude to John Pike and his supporters.
