Jury hears Zimmerman's statements to police – George Howell reports

The trial of George Zimmerman resumes today with the lead investigator back on the stand.

He and other officers have been testifying about what Zimmerman told police in the days after Trayvon Martin was killed.

The jury has also now heard Zimmerman's words for themselves. CNN’s George Howell has details.

Too many things don't add up. The screaming stopped the EXACT minute the gun went off. Why would you scream 'help' if you had a gun in your hand? Zimmerman said Trayvon sat up and said 'you got me' right after he was shot. If Trayvon was on top of him, there would be no need to sit up.
Zimmerman said Trayvon sucker pushed him while jumping out of bushes, then he said Trayvon walked towards him and hit him. There is a BIG difference between someone jumping out of bushes ambushing you vs walking towards you, saying something smart and then hitting you. Witnesses will say they heard loud voices going back and forth before the fight started. Again, if he jumped him from the bushes or if he walked towards him, said something smart and then attacked, when did the shouting match occur? Zimmerman is NOT telling the whole truth. When someone doesn't tell the whole truth, they are hiding something. Those beady little eyes of his aren't fooling me for one moment.
